Standing in solidarity with Jewish communities around the world and showing support for the nation of Israel, Sen. Jesse Lujan introduced Resolution 223 almost a week after Hamas began their ruthless attacks on Israel.
Lujan stated, “We need to put it on the record that the 37th Guam Legislature strongly opposes these horrific acts of evil.”
President Joe Biden – who made a brief visit to Israel this past week – is planning to ask Congress for what he called an unprecedented support package for Israel’s defense.
Lujan added, “Staying silent is like agreeing with the perpetrators. We need to condemn these atrocities and stand with the rest of the world to put a stop to this….we have to remember, as a U.S. territory and developed Western civilization, we are not excluded from their hate.”
