In 2022, a pact act was passed providing healthcare and funding to veterans who were exposed to toxic substances during military service.
And Thursday, Resolution 29 was introduced by Republican Sen. Jesse Lujan which calls for the U.S. Congress to appropriate funds for island residents who were exposed to agent orange. The resolution aims to provide for those who are suffering from ailments as a result of exposure.
