Lujan prepares to combat drugs

Sen.-elect Jesse Lujan, a returning lawmaker who will join the 37th Guam Legislature in January, is preparing to draft legislation that will focus on the fight against methamphetamine in Guam.

Lujan recently met with public safety officials from the Guam Police Department and the Guam Customs and Quarantine Agency to discuss strategies for combatting the importation of drugs to the island.

“We must double our efforts and give the agencies additional tools and resources to make sure this happens,” Lujan stated in a news release. “I will be introducing legislation in the first two weeks of January to do just this.”
